The TwoDay Tech Fest 2017, the India’s largest Technology Conference, the 100 plus volunteer driven meet concluded

Hyderabad: The Two-Day Tech Fest 2017, India’s largest Technology Conference organised by Engineers Hub in association with Facebook and CDK Global at JNTU, Kukatpally concluded Monday evening.

The event which has registered a footfall of 6000 in the two days, is regarded as one of India’s Largest Technology and Career Conference for students.

Addressing the students on “Innovate at Campus”, Dr. A. GOVARDHAN Aliseri, Principal, JNTUHCEH said we should never stop learning so much so that you should be not only job ready also future ready. Because of new wave of technologies like Internet of Things (IoT), our body may become part of Technology. Your readiness is important. You may not know everything, but, your preparedness is very important, he told the gathering.

MANOJ Raj D, founder of “The Tech Fest 2017” gave concluding remarks. Through this annual fest, we tried to bridge gap between academia and industry. We want to help engineering grad to be industry and job ready. Through this fest we gave students an understanding of corporate culture, idea of real time processes, workspace innovations etc.

The last day of the fest witnessed Prashant Choudhari of Microsoft addressing on Conversational User Interfaces & How they will disrupt digital access for the next billion people.

Amit Sharma, Senior Director of ADP addressed on “Analytics and Importance”; Hitesh RAMANI, Product Head, GrabOn on “How to be a good developer and glimpses about Artificial Intelligence”.

The theme of the Test was “awaken the future”, where students were introduced to the various aspects of technology and disruptive thinking and also celebrated Technology.

The event was organized by the students for the students and was entirely driven by 100 plus volunteers and those who are running Tech Startups.

Technology is a male dominant industry. But, more women than men participated in the fest said Avinash Telkalkote, one of the organizers.

Sharing their views G. Pooja, Uzma, Syed Afsa and Lalitha all volunteers at the fest said women are best fit technology roles as they are good innovators, multi tasking and have more patience than men. We hope to see more women in Technology roles.

The goal of the The Tech Fest 2017 was to spread the awareness of disruptive technology, scientific & design thinking and innovation at every level.

It provided an international platform for the students to showcase their talents and skill sets in fierce competitions, display cutting edge technology and research from all over the globe, have world renowned influencers motivate the students and promote solutions to alleviate the common man of his banal yet significant problems.

Student volunteers from 100 plus colleges, people who are working in companies like Amazon, EngineersHub, Whacked Out Media, Mivo Group are also helped to make the conference a great success.

Sharing more details, Sreerag Nambiar, Head of Operations of TheTechFest informed that the two days event this year hosted 20 speakers from diverse technologies all around the world, 5 plus Technology Experience Zones were created, 16 plus Workshops held, 10 plus Student Prototypes and much more happened.

Along with the Add-ons Hackathon by Mozilla Hyderabad, the Workshops at the event included: Car Engine dis-assembly; Car Mechanism Demo (Outdoor); Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), 3D Printing, Intense Text Processing — BIGDATA; Sentimental Analysis using Python; Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security; Mobile Application Development using Android; Augmented Reality (AR) and it’s Applications; Artificial Intelligence — Machine Learning using Matlab; Saas Based Data Storage; Processing in Cloud Computing using AWS and Statistical Technique — R Programming

The team of the TheTechFest 2017 comprises of Manoj Raj D; Sistla V Abhishek; Sreerag Nambiar, Mounica Paturu, Tharun Dasapathri, Aneesha Musunuri, Sharmida, Sangeetika Sreenivas, AvinashTekalkote, Prabhakar Shivala, Sreeja Sunkara, Prithvi Raj Chitteti, Chandrakumar Chiru, Sree Harsha, Navya and Vamshi Krishna. It is entirely volunteer driven and believes in the concept of a team equals. Every brickbat is shared equally by the team as is in every bouquet.
