U.S. Consulate General – Indian School of Business, Indo-Pacific Conference March 10-11

Hyde3rabad: The U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad, in collaboration with the Indian School of Business, is organizing a virtual conference titled – A Roadmap for Indo-Pacific Regional Cooperation in a Post-Covid 19 World Order. The virtual conference will be held on March 10 and 11. The inaugural address will be given by Joel Reifman, Consul General, U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad.

The objective of the two-day-conference is to engage various stakeholders to discuss a roadmap for a stronger Indo-Pacific Regional Cooperation in the context of the changing and uncertain times. The United States recently released its Indo-Pacific strategy and is celebrating 75 years of the U.S. – India partnership.

The speakers include Patricia A. Lacina Charge D’ Affaires, U.S. Embassy New Delhi, Jagannath Panda, Head, Stockholm Centre for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs, Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP) Sweden & Director, Europe-Asia for YCAPS. Happymon Jacob, Associate Professor, Centre for International Politics, Organization & Disarmament, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Ambassador Shivshankar Menon, former National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister and former Foreign Secretary, Govt. of India; Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Member of Parliament and President, Indian Council for Cultural Relations; Dr. Sanjaya Baru, former Media Advisor to the Prime Minister; Mr. Shyam Saran, former Foreign Secretary of India. The keynote speaker for the opening plenary is the Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for SCA Jennifer Larson.
