Udayan Mitra to Lead Literary, Non-Fiction and Business Teams at HarperCollins

New Delhi: Effective the 1st of May 2021, Udayan Mitra will lead the combined Literary, HarperCollins Non-Fiction and Harper Business teams.

Udayan has been in HarperCollins since 2017, and in a career spanning over 24 years, led various functions within publishing successfully managing editorial teams and publishing many award winners and critically acclaimed books. He has edited and published some of India’s finest including Amitav Ghosh, Ram Guha, Sudha Murty, Ruskin Bond, Gulzar, Devdutt Pattanaik and Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi to name just a few.
Our literary, translation, non-fiction and business lists are among the most coveted publishing programs in India, having won two JCB Book of the Year prizes, the DSC South Asia Prize, the Shakti Bhatt Book Prize, the NIF Non-Fiction Prize, a Booker Prize shortlist, two Business Book of the Year prizes, many First Book and Best Book in Fiction and Non-Fiction prizes, and indeed two Publisher of the Year Awards.
