Udhampur DDC asks Bankers to expedite disbursement PMEGP Loan

Udhampur: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Piyush Singla in his capacity as Chairman DLTFC for implementation of flagship Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program(PMEGP), today exhorted upon the financial Institutions to extend hassle-free loan assistance to the beneficiaries and encourage them in setting up their ventures of self employment.
The DC was reviewing the implementation of PMEGP for the year 2019-20 & 2020-21 here at a meeting attended by Convenor DLTFC, General Manager DIC Udhampur, Suram Chand Sharma, LDM Udhampur, , District Officer KVIB and Cluster heads of major Banks.
Singla further urged upon bankers to verify reasons for high percentage of rejection of PMEGP cases forwarded by the DLTFC on flimsy grounds. He said that high rate of rejection defeats the very purpose this self-employment scheme launched by GOI.
