Udyam Assist Platform to bring Informal Micro Enterprises under the formal ambit for availing benefits under Priority Sector Lending
The state-wise details of MSME registered on Udyam Registration Portal during the last three years are at Annexure-I.
The Ministry of MSME notified the classification of MSME based on the composite criteria of investment in plant and machinery or equipment and turnover vide Notification No. S.O. 2119(E) dated 26.06.2020 and subsequently, the Udyam Registration Portal was launched on 01.07.2020. Existing enterprises in the country, may register themselves on Udyam Registration Portal. Existing enterprises, registered in the country under erstwhile Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum and Entrepreneurship Memorandum-II, may also migrate to the new system of Udyam Registration. Udyam Registration is online, free of cost, paperless, based on self declaration and requires no upload of documents. In addition to it, Government launched Udyam Assist Platform on 11.01.2023 to bring Informal Micro Enterprises under the formal ambit for availing benefits under Priority Sector Lending.
