UEL Ranked Among UK’s Best for Health Studies
The University of East London’s public health, and physiotherapy courses have received a significant stamp of approval from students, ranking as one of the best in the UK in the latest National Student Survey (NSS).
Across several metrics including teaching, academic support, and learning resources, our public health offerings, which sit under the School of Health, Sport, and Bioscience (HSB), came out on top nationally with students praising the organisation and management of the courses.
The school’s success, however, is not limited to public health with strong student satisfaction also recorded for its physiotherapy, chemistry, and nursing programmes. Specifically, 95 per cent of nursing associate students responded positively when asked about teaching, exceeding the sector average by over 5 per cent.
Additionally, HSB has widely improved on its 2023 ratings across every measure canvassed by the survey and was ranked as the best in London for teaching, assessment and feedback, and learning opportunities.
Dean of Health, Sport and Bioscience Rob Waterson was delighted with the outstanding results, which reflected the high-quality teaching, and robust academic support available at UEL. He said,
Across disciplines, these fantastic results identify UEL as a leader, both nationally and in London. I am immensely proud that the work put in our incredible academic staff has been recognised by students and I know these results serve a call to action for prospective students looking for somewhere to study in the future.”
Spaces to study in some of our highly-regarded HSB courses – including nursing, chemistry, physiotherapy, podiatry, and more – are available through Clearing, offering students the opportunity to join a strong academic community in London.
