UFD Jammu conducts plantation drive to celebrate I-Day

Jammu: On the eve of 74th Independence day, Urban Forestry Jammu conducted plantation drives at 7th Battalion SSB Jammu and RM Public School Chouadi.
A plantation drive was conducted in collaboration with 7th Battalion of SSB Jammu in its campus at Channi Himmat. The commandant of Battalion, Ajay Kumar planted flower saplings in for the beautification of campus. The plants were planted along the roads and paths. Dr Brijesh Kumar Commandant Health, Sanjay Kumar, Dy Commandant along with officer and jawan of all ranks also participated in the plantation drive.
Range Officer Sunjwan, Rakesh Verma, demonstrated the methods of pit digging, planting and watering of plants. Block officer Sunjwan, Nitin Charak along with staff members and staff members of SSB Jammu planted 300 ornamental plants in the campus.
Another plantation drive was held in RM Public School Chouadi. The drive was conducted in collaboration with Rotary club Jammu. Dr Ram Gupta, Club President planted saplings of ornamental plants in the school premises. Around 200 ornamental plants were planted on the occasion. Dr. Karanjeet Kour Club Secretary staff and management of RM Public School also participated in the drive.
