USPs of the course: University of Lincoln’s MComp Games Computing programme, accredited by The British Computer Society, is an integrated Masters degree that builds upon and develops the study undertaken in the equivalent BSc (Hons) programme. The course is taught at the School of Computer Science, which is a member of the Independent Game Developers Association (TIGA). Furthermore, the University is affiliated with The Institution of Analysts and Programmers.The programme aims to equip students with the skills necessary for a technical career within the creative games and entertainment industry, including mobile games, social media games and console game development.Its strong conceptual and methodological grounding in both games design and games development makes the course unique.The degree explores games programming, 3D graphics, mathematics, games engine programming and other specialist topics such as artificial intelligence and social gaming. It also provides the opportunity to develop both technical skills and critical conceptual skills that are much sought after in the video games industry.During the course, students develop software within console environments as well as in desktop and mobile platforms.They complete an industrial project in thefourth year, usually in conjunction with an external client and focusing on producing and delivering a solution to a real-life gaming problem.Opportunities for students to become familiar with and ultimately involved in research activity conducted within the School in areas like Computer Vision, Autonomous Systems including Robotics, Social Computing, etc., are actively promoted.

Career Prospects for Graduates: Games Computing graduates can work as tools programmers, artificial intelligence programmers, level designers, mission scripters, games testers and many other roles in the wider IT industry.
Eligibility Criteria: Applicants with a minimum of 80% in Standard XII with IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

Scholarships: £1500 deducted from year 1 programme fees
