UMass Amherst: UMPD Introduces New Self-Defense Class for Employees, June 10-14

The University of Massachusetts Police Department will be offering a special one-week self-defense program next month for interested UMass Amherst faculty and staff employees.

From June 10-14, self-defense classes will be held each day from 4 p.m. to approximately 5:30 p.m. at the UMass Police Station at 585 East Pleasant Street. No equipment is needed, just gym-type clothing and a willingness to learn some new techniques.

Registration is now open, and a limited number of spaces are available. The registration form can be found on the UMass Police Department website and the New Self Defense Class Summer 2024 webpage.
