UN invites Brazilians to participate in an online research on the future we want

The United Nations (UN) celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2020 and to mark its anniversary the UN is launching a global conversation on the role of international cooperation in building the future we want. In addition to face-to-face dialogues in all corners of the planet – called UN75 dialogues –, there is a one-minute online survey, available in Portuguese here.

The answers will help to improve the international management of global issues that require cooperation between borders, sectors and generations, necessary to have a safer, fairer and more sustainable world for all.

The research wants to know how Brazilians imagine the world in 25 years, what global trends may affect our future, what is the importance of international cooperation and what advice would they give to the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, to deal with these issues.

Online questionnaires are available in 41 languages. The results will be presented to world leaders and UN leaders, including a high-level meeting with heads of state and government scheduled for September 21, 2020, in New York.

The UN75 Dialogues initiative was launched on January 1st this year as the largest global conversation about the future of the world. On the occasion, Guterres recalled that “no country, no community is able to solve the complex problems of our world alone” and called for everyone to participate in the process. “We need your opinion, your strategies and your ideas for us to be able to deliver better for the people of the world that we must serve,” said the UN Secretary-General.
