Unacademy Onboards IIT Graduates As Educators

Bengaluru: Unacademy, India’s largest learning platform, has onboarded ten recent graduates from IITs across India to join as Educators, as part of the campus placement process. The graduates are from IIT Bombay, Roorkee, BHU and Kanpur.

The Educators will teach subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Civil Engineering in categories like IIT JEE, K12 and GATE. They will undergo a month of extensive training to learn the nuances of Online teaching, curriculum building and pedagogy techniques, besides being mentored by Top Educators of Unacademy. The tentative date for the Educators to begin teaching is August 1, 2021.

Ten candidates were chosen from a pool of applicants during the campus placement process conducted at IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, IIT BHU, IIT Hyderabad, and BITS Pilani. The screening process included an online aptitude test, a video profile round, a personal interview with Unacademy leadership, followed by an interview with Unacademy Co-Founder, Roman Saini. In view of COVID restrictions, the entire process was conducted virtually.
