UNESCO convenes meeting of women entrepreneurs in the cultural and creative industries of Cuba and the Dominican Republic

What challenges have women entrepreneurs in the cultural and creative industries faced in times of pandemic? What windows of opportunities are open for them in this new scenario? What can we learn from their resilience strategies?

These and other issues will be discussed during the virtual meeting “Women Entrepreneurs in Culture: opportunities and challenges in the post COVID-19 era”, convened by the Transcultura Programme: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity.

Artists, activists or entrepreneurs from Cuba and the Dominican Republic will come together to share their experiences. From silversmithing, music, environmental activism, literature, the theatre or audiovisuals, these women have used artistic creation to overcome the challenges posed by COVID-19, and this is a unique opportunity to discover their inspiring stories.
