Union Bank of India conducts U-Genius, a national level general awareness competition for students

New Delhi : Union bank of India today, organised the finale of U-Genius, a nation-wide general awareness competition for students. The winners of the competition were Devansh Gupta and Aditya Jaiswal from Sunbeam School Lehartara, Runner- Up Kumar Kautilya and Ojas Dixit from Dr Virendra Swaroop Education Centre Kanpur & Second Runner-up Ojas Hayatnagarkar and Aditya Kathait from National Public School Bengaluru.

The event was held at Y B Chavhan Auditorium and was graced by the presence of Ms. A Manimekhalai MD&CEO, Union Bank of India.

The 35 days long competition was organised across 24 states in India namely Delhi, Mumbai. Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Chennai etc. with pre-registrations available in the nearest Union Bank branch of every state.

The winners of the competition received a cash prize of 1 lac along with a certificate and trophy. The other prizes were first runner-up with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and second runner up with a cash price of Rs. 25,000 along with certificates and trophies.

 

Speaking on the occasion Ms. A Manimekhalai, MD&CEO said, “We are happy to see such bright young minds in our country. It is very important especially in the current scenario to build attention towards education and highlight the importance of the Banking in the current market conditions. The Bank conducted the National General Awareness Quiz Competition to facilitate Nation Building and Youth Empowerment and aspires to continue in the future.”

The competition was open for students from class 8th to 12th and could participate in a team of 2 in the competition. The topics for the national quiz competitions covered general knowledge, general awareness and banking & finance.
