Union Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal to inaugurate two-day Virtual International Akhand Conference ‘EDUCON-2020’ organized by CUPB & GERA on 7th January 2021
Bathinda: Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ will inaugurate the two-day Virtual International Akhand Conference ‘EDUCON 2020’ through a video the conferencing platform on 7th January, 2021. This two-day International Conference is being organized by Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) in collaboration with the Global Education Research Association (GERA) under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Raghavendra P. Tiwari, Vice Chancellor, CUPB & Padma Shri Dr. Mahendra Sodha (Patron, GERA). The focal theme of EDUCON-2020 is Envisioning education for Transforming Youth to Restore Global Peace. This International Conference will commence with the Inaugural address by Hon’ble Minister of Education Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’. The Chief Guest of Valedictory Ceremony will be Prof. Dhirendra Pal Singh, Chairman, UGC, New Delhi.
During this two-day Virtual International Akhand Conference, the scholars from United Kingdom, Canada, Thailand, USA, Australia, Bhutan and India would be discussing continuously the Idea of EDUCON-2020 is ‘Envisioning Education for Transforming Youth to Realize Global Peace’ for 31 hours. This will be the first of its kind of conference in India where scholars across the world would be continuously exploring the possibilities of use of ICT in the higher education to promote the equitable quality education in India.
CUPB Vice Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari mentioned that CUPB is committed to quality higher education and cutting-edge research, this Conference will provide a platform to researchers and educationists to share their views on drawing strategic-plan for implementing the recommendations of the student-centric National Education Policy-2020, which is rooted in our Bhartiya Culture and Value System. He informed that the Conference will focus, from the global perspectives, on various paradigms of NEP-2020, intended to transform the ‘learning system of our nation’ to meet world standard by empowering youth with the global competencies- thereby realizing the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Minister of Education Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’.
While sharing the Programme details, Prof. Tiwari underlined that during this conference, eminent educationists will share their views on important topics like: the Relevance of Ancient Education System in 21st Century, the NEP-2020 from the perspective of global scenario, Skill training programmes for future graduates etc, and at the same time will discuss the issues, challenges and opportunities for education of future generation.
