Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya lays foundation stone of Medical Entomology centre at VCRC in Puducherry

Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya today said that any country that wanted to proceed on the path of growth and development, should concentrate on research and development. He said this after laying the foundation stone of the International Centre of Excellence for training in Medical Entomology at the ICMR- Vector Control Research Centre (VCRC) in Puducherry.

The Minister also lauded the scientists of the nation for developing Covid vaccine. He said that no other nation had the honour of administering two billion doses of Covid vaccine.

Minister is on a three day visit to Puducherry and Chennai.

Earlier the Minister visited the laboratories of VCRC. Minister was briefed on the activities of the centre. He later interacted with the scientists.
