Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan informs, 27 lakh 87 thousand candidates were skilled under PMKVY between 2020 and 2023

The Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan has informed that over 27 lakh 87 thousand candidates were skilled under Pradhan Mantri Koushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) between 2020 and 2023. In his reply during the question hour in Lok Sabha today, he said that 46.43 percent of those skilled are women. Out of 12.94 lakh women candidates trained in the last three years, under PMKVY, 2.16 lakh have been reported placed in a job. About 14,938 ITIs, 454 Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras, 288 JSS institutions are engaged in training apprentices across the country.
