Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia Confers Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (NIC)’s 6th Entrepreneur & Leadership Awards 2022
Indo-American Chamber of Commerce- NIC today organized the virtual 6th Entrepreneur & Leadership Awards 2022. The event was graced by the presence of Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia.
IACC-NIC aim of organizing these awards was to felicitate the industry leaders across India. The 6th edition of the award ceremony which was held through virtual mode is the first amid the pandemic with the last edition successfully held back in 2019.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia congratulated the award winners and said that they are going to herald a new dawn.
On the Indo-US relations and the partnership in the aviation space, the minister observed that the US and India together can be force multipliers in the area of civil aviation.
Observing that Indian and American companies have a strong partnership, he said that IACC can add “tremendous value” to the aircraft industry.
“We have strong ties with the US, which I think will come to our mutual benefit especially in the civil aviation sector. This partnership can only grow in the years to come. There is a tremendous opportunity for cooperation and expansion on this front.” Mr Scindia said.
Dr. Lalit Bhasin, Executive Vice President of IACC said, “The awards recognize significant contributions of the business fraternity to the growth of the country. IACC feels proud to acknowledge their efforts in India’s proud entrepreneurial journey.”
As India looks to achieve its aim of Atmanirbhar Bharat, it is the entrepreneurs who would be at the forefront of this mission of making the country self-sufficient, said Bhasin who is also the Chairman of the jury for 6th Entrepreneur Leadership Awards.
Spirits major Dr. Lalit Khaitan, CMD, Radico Khaitan was presented with the ‘Pride of India’ award at the 6th Entrepreneur Leadership Awards 2022 organised by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC).
At the virtual award ceremony, Dr. Bina Modi, Chairperson of Modi Enterprises was adjudged the ‘Woman Transforming India’. Out of the 19 awards presented today, Dr. Raghupati Singhania, CMD of JK Tyre& Industries received the award for the ‘Business Leader of the Decade’.
In the 6th edition of the awards, Ms. Nina Gupta, Executive Member of Supreme Court Bar Association received the award for ‘Empowering Women’. Dr. VivekLall, Chief Executive of General Atomics Global Corporation has been named the ‘Global Leader in Defence & Aviation Sector.
The jury gave Mr. Rajan Mehra, CEO of AR Airways Pvt Ltd the award for ‘Transformational Leadership in Aviation.
Among other winners, Lockheed Martin India Private Ltd was named the ‘Leading company of the year in the defence sector’.
The other members of the jury were Mr. KapilKaul, National President, IACC, Mr. Rohit Kochhar, Regional President, IACC, Mr. Matt Ingeneri, Economic Growth Unit Chief, U.S. Embassy, Mr. Raman Roy, Immediate Past Regional President, IACC and Dr. Abhay Sinha, Director-General, Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC).
