Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan reviewed the progress of NCERT textbook development with Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy

Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, Government of India reviewed the progress of NCERT textbook development with Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, MoE; Director, NCERT and Chairperson, CBSE, on 4th July 2024. All NCERT textbooks for Grade 3 and 6 will be made available very shortly.

NEP 2020 aims to provide economically priced, high-quality textbooks to make learning joyful and stress-free for better learning outcomes.

NCERT is constructing new textbooks, for Classes 1-12, to fully realise the provisions of NEP 2020 and NCF-SE. Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan

, did a detailed review of the progress of NCERT textbook development with the Secretary, School Education & Literacy; Director, NCERT; and Chairperson, CBSE; on 4th July 2024. For the academic year 2024-25, new and engaging textbooks will be introduced in Classes 3 and 6. Textbook development work is in the final phase and 9 textbooks for Grades 3 and 6 are already available. The remaining 8 will be available very soon. Hon’ble Minister also reviewed the capacity building undertaken for the teachers of Classes 3 and 6 who will use these new textbooks.
