Union MoS Jal Shakti, Tribal Affairs conducts day long tour of Kishtwar areas
KISHTWAR : As a part of Union Government’s Public Outreach Programme in the UT of J&K, Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Tribal Affairs, Shri Bishweswar Tudu on the second day of his three day tour to district Kishtwar today conducted a day long tour of the far flung Paddar area of district Kishtwar.
He inaugurated NTPHC building at Sohal and Tourism Facilitation Centre at Gulabgarh of Sub Division Paddar besides chairing a public grievance redressal camp there.
During the tour he also held an interactive meeting with PRI, senior citizens, Himalayan Buddhist Society and political parties besides SHGs and the Youth club members at BDO office Gulabgarh.
Earlier, the Minister inaugurated newly constructed building of New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) Sohal which has been undertaken by PWD division Paddar at an estimated cost of Rs. 171.45 lakhs and Tourism Facilitation Centre (under PMDP) building at Gulabgarh taken with a projected cost of Rs 244.08 lakhs constructed by Kishtwar Development Authority.
On the occasion he congratulated the people of Paddar as the NTPHC will add to the medical relief of Sohal and adjoining areas besides the TFC will cater to the needs of tourists and pilgrims at Gulabgarh base camp for Machail Mata Yatra.
During the grievance redressal programme at BDO office Gulabgarh, Union MoS listened to the grievances of the various delegation lead by local PRIs. The delegations highlighted the various demand for their redressal.
The Minister listened to the grievances and demands and assured that their genuine demands will be fulfilled in time bound manner besides assuring that other demands will be taken up with the concerned quarters at Central and UT level for immediate redressal.
During the outreach camp a colourful cultural items were presented by local artists which remained main attraction of the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the Central Government is bound for the development of Jammu and Kashmir and is extending every possible help to the people of JK UT. He said that people have to wait and feel the difference in developmental scenario on the ground level.
The Minister also inspected the stalls installed by various departments for displaying the local products and departmental exhibits.
Enroute, he also visited the Dul Hasti HEPP and reviewed the outlay plan besides taking stock of daily activities and power generation capacity of HEP.
During his tour he was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma, SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain Bhat, DDC member Paddar Hari Krishna, DDC member Nagseni Mohammad Ashraf, ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma, CEO KDA/SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Singh Parihar; SDM Paddar Varunjeet Singh Charak; District Panchayat Officer Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal among other officers from civil, police and health department.
