#Unity Day observed at AMU

ALIGARH : The Centre of Continuing and Adult Education and Extension, Aligarh Muslim University organized a lecture on “Unity in Diversity” to observe the national Unity Day, marking the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, a freedom fighter and the first home minister of independent India.

Dr Shamim Akhtar, Director of the centre emphasized that Sardar Patel played a key role to unite the country and bring together the princely states to form a strong sovereign Indian federation. Later, he administered a pledge of unity to the learners of the Centre.
