Universal Business School organises educational simulation model of United Nations Conference for management students

Universal Business School, a premier institute of management studies at the graduate and undergraduate level, based in Karjat Mumbai recently organised ‘Universal Business School – Model United Nations (UBSMUN) 2021’ a unique educational simulation model of United Nations Conference for its management students.

UBSMUN 2021 is a yearly event that provides a platform for the students to demonstrate and learn negotiation skills, understand policy making, build global awareness and sharpen critical as well as strategic thinking, problem solving and leadership skills.

As a part of this activity, every management student participant acts as a diplomat and represents a country to discuss and solve the global issues through delivering a speech, a formal debate, and negotiation. The output of the session is a resolution of the current issues and proposed solutions.

“The conference offers participating student delegates a chance to debate pressing global issues and challenges them to take on new perspectives and build strong networks; enabling them to become the global leaders of tomorrow,” said Tarun Anand, Founder and Chairman, Universal Business School.

The students this year participated by creating World Health Assembly, United Nations General Assembly: Special Political and Decolonization Committee and United Nations Human Rights Council.

As a part of the World Health Assembly, students discussed policy formulation for Universal Health Coverage with special emphasis on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Under the United Nations General Assembly: Special Political and Decolonization Committee, students addressed the ongoing situation in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. United Nations Human Rights Council addressed the rights of Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI)community.

“The contribution of learners in passing the resolution for UBSMUN 2021 moved Universal Business School one step forward towards realizing the vision of creating impactful knowledge through collaboration, inclusiveness and global outlook. As we wanted learners to compete through collaboration, this academic event in the form of simulation, conducted through collaborative efforts of ELC and UIC club will transform today’s learners into tomorrow’s leaders,” said Prof Vijay Tandon Director – PGDM (NBA Accredited) & International Programs, Universal Business School.
