Alumni in Action at Lumen Bar – This exhibition, which celebrates place-making in the City of Adelaide, has been designed and curated by Associate Professor Katharine Bartsch and PhD candidate and alumnus Meherzad Shroff, with Master of Architecture students Leena Kuerban and Bea Maramba from the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) at University of Adelaide. The award-winning projects have been recognised by the Australian Institute of Architects, the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects and other civic institutions since 2015. The free exhibition is open during the operating hours of Lumen (5pm-11pm Sunday-Thursday, 4pm-11pm Friday).

“The bar will host an exhibition of award winning architectural projects by University of Adelaide alumni over our recent history in Adelaide,” Hannon said. “It’s an opportunity for everyone to meet and discuss the festival program, look at design installations, and connect – it provides a real community hub.”

University of Adelaide Deputy Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement), Dr Jessica Gallagher encouraged everyone to make the most of the exciting and interactive displays that are on offer.

“The University is proud to be involved with Illuminate Adelaide to highlight the amazing artists and creative minds that are in South Australia,” Dr Gallagher said. “We look forward to
