University of Amsterdam: 11 extraordinary elective courses in the second semester

The Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies is proud to announce the elective courses for the second semester of 2021-2022! Eleven extraordinary and socially relevant courses are on the agenda, including the Dutch ‘Klassen!’ on equal opportunities in education, the decolonial course ‘Afro-Dutch Studies’, ‘Digital Warfare’ on future threats in our cyberspace and ‘Building Bridges for Local-Global Challenges’, in which you will work with students from European partner universities.

Education at the IIS
Every semester, the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies (IIS) offers a wide variety of interdisciplinary elective courses. IIS electives are open to a variety of audiences: students and staff from any UvA faculty, students from other Dutch higher education institutions and other interested parties who can take part as ‘contract students’. Please read the course-specific information on the IIS website carefully to see if contract students are able to enrol, if contract students can attend the course on-campus or online, and which rates apply.
