University of Amsterdam: The power of deep tech to transform business and the planet

Amsterdam Science Park is home to visionary innovators in both deep tech and sustainability. At the Park’s latest Science & Innovation dinner they were joined by industry professionals interested in learning how these fields could help them compete in the market while making their products and services more sustainable.


UvA-IvI director Alfons Hoekstra, shared his insights on the collaboration potential between computer science and businesses. Guests learned how computer science is being applied to help predict, design, analyse and test molecules and materials. The emergent technologies can have a significant impact in areas such as the energy transition, health, food and agriculture and construction materials.
