University of Birmingham ITSEE members present papers at European Association of Biblical Studies
Four members of ITSEE presented papers at the European Association of Biblical Studies conference held in Syracuse last week.
Clark Bates, a Midland4Cities doctoral candidate, gave a presentation entitled “Διὸ Λέγει: Ephesians 5:14 and the Use of Apocryphal Sources for Authoritative Teaching in the New Testament”.
Duane McCrory, also studying for his doctorate, presented on “The Text of Romans in Sinai Arabic New Finds Parchment 60: A New Methodology for Establishing Vorlagen”.
Dr Oliver Norris, of the GALaCSy project, gave a paper on “The Hidden Text within the St-Germain Psalter”.
Emanuele Scieri, of the CATENA project, spoke about “New Insights on the History of Catenae on Acts: The Contribution of Parisinus gr. 237”.
Despite the heat, it was a very successful conference and all presenters were grateful for the experience of presenting their research to an international audience.
