University of Bristol: Bristol signs MoU with new and pioneering Indian University
Founded in 2021 and located in Mumbai, ATLAS SkillTech University signifies a new approach to higher education in India, employing a futurist model of teaching and utilising technology-enabled learning to focus on multidisciplinary skills-led education.
The University of Bristol was founded over 100 years ago and has a rich history of pushing frontiers through both its research and approach to teaching. It was the first university in the UK to admit women on an equal basis with men, and today combines world-class teaching and research with a culture of nurturing successful start-ups and university spin-out companies.
The partnership will draw on the pioneering spirit of the two institutions, bringing together the best minds and futuristic technologies to deliver a new approach to education. The universities will collaborate on areas of increasing corporate and social significance including Design & Innovation, Management & Entrepreneurship, Media & Communication, Film & Animation and Digital Technology.
The partnership will create articulation and progression pathways for ATLAS students to access further study at Bristol as well as opportunities for students in Mumbai and Bristol to visit the other institution for semester, year-long, summer and virtual experiences. The institutions will also explore opportunities for research collaboration and joint PhD programmes in areas such as AI and Entrepreneurship, Computer Aided Design, Data Science, Digital Agriculture and Society, Film and Television and IoT for Security.
