University of Central Missouri welcomes Associate Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics
– University of Central Missouri Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Matt Howdeshell has tabbed Syed Moinuddin as the next Associate Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, it was announced Thursday, June 22.
Moinuddin will replace current Associate Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Kathy Anderson, who is retiring on June 30 after 18 years with UCM Athletics. Moinuddin comes to Central Missouri after serving the last 10 years at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, most recently as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Services.
In his current role at NAU, he supervises all aspects of the compliance office and athletics academic services, is the sport administrator for women’s soccer and men’s and women’s tennis, as well as a member of the executive leadership team and Intercollegiate Athletics Committee. In addition, Moinuddin serves on the NCAA Division I Interpretations Committee and the Big Sky Conference Legislative Review Committee.
Prior to NAU, Moinuddin was the Director of Compliance at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, where he revised and monitored all recruiting policies and procedures. Before his position at Oklahoma, he was the Associate Director of Compliance at the University of Houston where he was the primary compliance administrator for men’s and women’s basketball, softball, and women’s soccer while also being the liaison to housing, dining services, financial aid,
registrar, and student accounts.
Moinuddin began his career as a Compliance Graduate Intern at the University of Miami. He completed his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and his Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa.
He is married to Linsey Moinuddin, and they have one son, Benji.
