University of Exeter: Events to celebrate European research

Futures2021 returns on 24 and 25 September to mark European Researchers’ Night – the annual celebration of the innovative research taking place in universities across Europe.

The diverse programme includes a pop-up shop, guided walks, an event about creativity and climate change and a Festival of the Sea.

On 25 September the Make Tank Gallery in Exeter will be transformed into the Pop-Up Curiosity Shop of Science and Culture.

This is a special space with live music, demonstrations, talks, workshops and even robots bringing to life the brilliant work that happens at the University of Exeter.

There are over 30 activities including yoga, a live kora concert, the chance to handle ancient chicken bones, and live graffiti illustrating ancient rock art discovered by Jose Iriarte.

In Bodmin, Creative Responses to Climate Change will explore how scientists and artists work together.

The evening blends conversation with drama, film and live music.

It is presented by Ritula Shah from BBC Radio 4 alongside creatives Anna Kiernan, Toby Peach, Martha Tilston, and scientist James Dyke.
