University of Exeter: University of Exeter Vice Chancellor Professor Lisa Roberts visits Duke University
World-leading research to tackle the climate crisis and create a greener, healthier and fairer world was top of the agenda when University of Exeter Vice Chancellor Professor Lisa Roberts visited Duke University.
Since May 2019 Duke University, in North Carolina, and the University of Exeter have formally developed and supported collaboration between academics in teaching and research.
During a visit to Duke in late May to discussion collaboration between the two institutions, Professor Roberts met with several Duke representatives, including President Vincent Price, to discuss the partnership’s growth and exciting future.
With President Price, Professor Roberts discussed shared strategic priorities, including commitments to climate neutrality and being wholly inclusive institutions.
Professor Roberts said: “It was really valuable to connect with Duke’s leadership team to discuss our partnership. We discussed how we may make further steps to conduct joint research and educational activities towards creating a greener, fairer and healthier future. We found a great deal in common and look forward to working together in the future.”
