University of Greenwich Announces Natasha Vall’s Senior Appointment

The University of Greenwich has appointed a new senior leader to spearhead one of its four Faculties. Professor Natasha Vall, currently Dean of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law at Teeside University, will be joining the university on 1 October

She has held several senior roles in her current institution, including Institute Director, Head of Department and Associate Dean across the schools of Social Science, Humanities and Law and Arts and Creative Industries.

Professor Jane Harrington, Vice-Chancellor and CEO at the University of Greenwich, said:

“Natasha brings with her a huge wealth of experience and will be a fantastic addition to our senior team as we continue to deliver on our ambitious plans for Greenwich. As our students are at the heart of everything we do, I particularly welcome Natasha’s focus on student success.”

Speaking about her appointment, Natasha said:

“I am very much looking forward to joining the University of Greenwich and to working closely with colleagues in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences and across the whole university.”

Natasha is a Professor of urban and cultural history. She has published extensively and maintains a strong profile of research into the cultural renewal of post-industrial cities in the UK and beyond.

She has particular expertise in doctoral training and since 2013 has provided leadership for three UKRI-funded doctoral training centres at Teeside.

Natasha is an elected Fellow of the Royal Historical Society
