University Of Greenwich Begins New Higher Technical Qualification

The University of Greenwich has announced a new Level 4, Higher Education Certificate in Sports Coaching. The new qualification will offer a high-quality route for students to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for roles in demand from employers.

Approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education, the Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) is aimed at both college and school leavers or those retraining and upskilling to provide employers with a different recruitment pool to hire new talent.

The HTQ offers;

A high-quality alternative to other routes, such as apprenticeships, traineeships or degrees
Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education approved qualifications.

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) are excited to be supporting recruitment, delivery and providing employment opportunities for students achieving the Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) in Sports Coaching.

CACT Director of Education and Sport, David James, said:

“The University of Greenwich’s HTQ in Sports Coaching is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain the knowledge and skills for a career in sport. CACT have been involved in course creation, will provide expertise during delivery and employment pathways beyond completion”.

The course will start in September 2024.
