University of Greenwich Introduces Adult Nursing Program at Medway Campus

From September 2024, the University of Greenwich will offer BSc Adult Nursing at its Medway campus. Students will gain from the university’s strong links with local NHS organisations and access to its world-class simulation facilities, where they can practice new skills, safely, in realistic scenarios.

The course structure and content will enable students to deliver evidence-based care that reflects the changing needs of people in Kent. While on the programme, students will gain knowledge and skills including medical, surgical, long-term conditions and emergency care in acute practice learning environments and in the community. The university’s adult nursing provision was voted as number one in London for satisfaction in teaching (Guardian league tables 2024).

Professor Derek Moore, Pro Vice Chancellor for the University of Greenwich Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences, says:

“Delivering adult nursing degrees in Kent and for Kent means we can better meet the needs of local people, provide more opportunities for our students, and support the NHS. Our team has an incredible track record of helping students gain the knowledge and skills they need for brilliant careers in nursing, where they will make such a difference to people receiving care. This has all been made possible by our close relationships with NHS organisations in Kent, which have enabled us to increase placement capacity. Together, we’ll deliver a first-class nursing education for students. I look forward to supporting those who will join us in September – and in the future – as they begin their careers in nursing with us.”
