University of Greenwich Students Win Top Honors at National Moot

The panel were two High Court Judges and a senior KC who remarked that the final, University of Greenwich against University of Leicester, was one of the best in the competition’s history.Natasha and Harry

Both students received high praise and positive feedback, with Natasha in particular being complimented for her outstanding engagement with the court and Harry for his handling of legal authority.

Along with the mini-pupillage and the award of the John Smith Memorial Mace (Observer Mace), they will each receive £1000 and the institution will also receive £1000.

Justin Brunskell Senior Lecturer in Property Law said:

“Both Natasha and Harry represented the University of Greenwich and the School of Law in an exemplary manner.

“I would like to thank Tim Barnes KC and HHJ Ben Gumpert KC for coaching Harry and Natasha and their valuable contribution to the Mooting Team.”

The ESU-Essex Court Chambers National Mooting Competition was first held in 1972 and is the longest-running national mooting competition in the UK.
