University of Haifa invites application for Master of Public Health in Health Systems Administration & Global Health Leadership
The University of Haifa’s International Master’s Program – Public Health specialized in Health Systems Administration and Global Health Leadership (MPH) is a one-of-its-kind program that provides students with a strong foundation to critically address current global health challenges and to lead effectively in a globalizing world.The program is one of the five public health programs outside of the U.S. to be accredited by CEPH (Council on Education for Public Health).
The MPH program with an emphasis of global health nurtures high levels of sophistication, excellent communication skills and a deep knowledge of public health and global health leadership. It prepares future practitioners and researchers for leadership roles in settings across the globe.
Accredited in the US, Europe and Israel, the program is offered under an American-based curriculum and is taught by expert local and international faculty.It is well-structured with seminars and courses; thus, students get an opportunity with a hands-on practicum that integrates coursework in a real-world setting.
The core elements under the course include:
- Global Public Health.
- Theories and Models of Health Behavior.
- Environmental & Occupational Health.
- Epidemiology.
- Biostatistics.
- Decision-Making in the Health System.
- Ethical Dilemmas & Human Rights in Public Health.
Program delivery
Taught in English, the program is a unique 1-year MPHprogram with an option for students to complete their thesis in the second year. Structured such that the program offers seminars and courses taught by leading academics to small class sizes for individual attention. The program also features a “Leadership seminar” series by global health experts. It will also give students a unique multicultural experience on a diverse and lively campus.

Admission Cycle:
The program has started accepting applications from March 15, 2021 and the admission process for the program will go on further than May 31, 2021 basis availability of seats.
Admission Requirements:
The program is open to all students who have obtained or are about to obtain a completed under-graduate degree with a GPA of 3.0 or 80% average, or equivalent grade average with a recommended band of 6.5 or above in IELTS (TOEFL > 89).
Students seeking admission are expected to provide information about their motivation that inspired their interest in Public Health and/or health administration and how their academics will contribute to the Public Health community.
