University Of Massachusetts Amherst: Office of Faculty Development Opens Proposal Submissions for Mutual Mentoring Grants

The Office of Faculty Development (OFD) is now accepting proposals for the 2024-25 Mutual Mentoring Grant Program.

The Mutual Mentoring Grant Program, which offers both micro and larger team grants, supports UMass Amherst faculty and librarians at any career stage who seek to develop robust professional networks with mentoring partners within and/or outside the campus over the course of one year.

Micro grants of up to $1,500 and team grants of up to $6,000 are offered to UMass Amherst faculty and/or librarians to conduct an individual or group mutual mentoring project. Micro grants can involve up to two additional people who are within or outside of UMass Amherst. Team grants are offered to teams of four UMass Amherst faculty and/or librarians and can involve additional members who are within or outside of UMass Amherst.

OFD will accept proposals through Friday, March 1, and will host an information session from 10–11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 9 to learn about grant requirements and submission guidelines.

Full-time tenure track faculty, full-time non-tenure track faculty on continuing appointments, and full-time continuing appointment track librarians are eligible and can apply online before the March 1 deadline. For information on application and selection criteria, visit the OFD website.
