University Of Massachusetts Amherst’s Magazine Receives Silver Circle Of Excellence Award

UMass Magazine has been honored with a silver Circle of Excellence award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). The award was presented to the magazine for its fall 2022 issue and is the latest of several awards garnered by the publication for its writing and design.

The Circle of Excellence Awards are the premier recognition program for educational publications and initiatives. The peer-selected and adjudicated awards honor colleges, universities and schools worldwide. CASE is a global nonprofit that receives roughly 4,500 submissions annually.

In addition to the Circle of Excellence award (and several other CASE medals), UMass Magazine has been honored by The Communicator Awards, Hermes Creative Awards and MarCom Awards in recent years. Each of these organizations recognizes exemplary communicators and creatives across industries, demonstrating the magazine’s capacity to excel both within and beyond the higher education space.

UMass Magazine is led by Editor Candice Pinault Novak and supported by Managing Editor Lori Shine ’04 MFA and staff members Alexis Ali, Heather Kamins and Ari Jewell. UMass Magazine is part of the University Relations team.
