University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill: UNC Music returns to concert
Sept. 26 marked a very special day for the College of Arts & Sciences’ Music Department.
It was the first indoor concert with a live audience that the department has had in almost two years, since February 2020. The department is excited to come back better than ever and continue to share its passion for music with the Carolina community live and in person.
In an attempt to make the process of purchasing tickets more convenient and accessible, and considering COVID-19 accommodations, the Department of Music now offers online ticket sales. Livestream links will also be available for purchase for select concerts. Tickets may be purchased online for all paid UNC Music concerts up to 24 hours in advance of the performance date; live stream links may be purchased up to the performance time.
Tickets for in-person attendance are still available for purchase at the box office on the day of the concert. The box office will open an hour before the concert. Tickets may not be purchased over the phone.
Tickets are available through one of four purchasing forms: Scholarship Benefit Concert series, William S. Newman Artists series, Live Stream Access, and Free Concert reservations. Live Stream Access and free concert reservations will be available for select concerts only. Each form, except for the Free Concert registration, will link to a payment portal after completion. Once your payment has been processed, you will be emailed your ticket. You can access the ticket on your phone, or you can print it. Please have your ticket ready to scan at the door.
A key COVID-19 accommodation that we are introducing this year is distanced seating. There is distanced seating available at the back and along the sides of the James and Susan Moeser Auditorium. If you would like to reserve a distanced seat, please let us know by intimating this information in the purchase form. All attendees must remain masked, regardless of age or vaccination status, while in music department venues. Please take a moment to read through our department COVID-19 guidelines before coming to campus.
