University of Reading’s Strengths Highlighted in Daily Mail University Guide
The inaugural Daily Mail University Guide 2024 has rated Reading among the top 40 UK universities.
The University of Reading is ranked at 38 by the Mail, out of 131 universities across the UK.
This includes a ranking of 28 for ‘student experience’, 36 for graduates achieving high-skilled jobs, and 37 in the UK for the quality of its research.
In the south-east of England, Reading is ranked at 4 out of 20 universities, behind Oxford, Surrey and Southampton universities.
The profile of Reading highlights data on admissions, teaching and student support, fees and average graduate salaries, and the make-up of the student population.
The first new UK-only university ranking for more than a decade measures universities across 12 categories, and allows users to customise their own weighting and preferences to help prospective students find an institution that matches their requirements.
The table does not feature analysis or ratings of individual subject areas.
A University of Reading spokesperson said: “This new league table highlights some of Reading’s many strengths as a university. We would encourage anyone choosing between UK universities to pay our beautiful campuses a visit or come to an Open Day, to speak to our students and get the best feel for life at Reading.”
