University of São Paulo: USP sports complex in the capital will reopen on Sundays for the university community
The USP Sports Practice Center (Cepeusp) will reopen for leisure and sports activities on Sundays from March 13th. There are approximately 515,000 square meters with an infrastructure that includes grass soccer fields, a sand soccer field, a multipurpose space, changing rooms, a snack bar, an athletics track, a velodrome, outdoor and indoor courts, tennis courts and an Olympic lane. To attend the space it is necessary to be part of the USP community: students, employees and professors of the University, in addition to dependents who have a card.
Despite the sun and heat at the beginning of the month, it will not be possible to visit the Cepê pools as the aquatic complex is closed for a renovation in the engine room, equipment responsible for filtering, treating and pumping water. Parque Esporte para Todos, a space close to the campus town hall formed by a trail of about 1,000 meters, in an environment of Atlantic forest, will also remain closed for the time being.

The opening hours of the central entrance on Sundays will be from 8 am to 5 pm, indoor courts from 8 am to 4:30 pm and Olympic lane from 5 am to 1 pm. Entrance to the campus by car must be through the Main Gate (P1), at the intersection of Avenida Afrânio Peixoto and Rua Alvarenga. The other two, Portaria 2 (P2), located at Av. Escola Politécnica, and Portaria 3 (P3), located at Av. Corifeu de Azevedo Marques, are closed to cars and with controlled pedestrian access.
Security measures against covid-19
Although the state government has released the use of masks in open places, the USP Rectory, as announced on March 9, maintains mandatory use for all University facilities, including Cepeusp.
Care remains the same as at the beginning of the pandemic: continuous use of suitable masks, well adjusted to the face, covering from nose to chin; frequent hand washing or sanitizing with 70% alcohol; in addition to avoiding agglomerations. For more information, visit the safe return website .
Remaining vacancies in courses
Cepeusp has some vacancies remaining in courses for the first semester of 2022. Interested parties can check if there are vacancies available and enroll in a maximum of two courses of different modalities until March 31.
