University of Southampton: Special week to mark ties with India
The University of Southampton will host a special week (14 – 18 March 2022) to mark the growing Southampton-India ties in collaboration with Southampton City Council, Southampton City of Culture 2025, India Business Group and supporting partners.
The first of its kind, this landmark series of events will engage Southampton’s global student and staff community, alumni, partners, industry stakeholders and community.
Led by the University’s India Centre for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development, this unique week will host an assortment of events and activities aimed at showcasing, promoting and strengthening bilateral relations between Southampton and India.
Professor Mark E. Smith CBE, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Southampton, said, “I am very pleased that the University of Southampton is hosting this special week in collaboration with our supporting partners from the UK and India. The University has cherished our long-standing relationship with India, and through our high impact research, education and enterprise activities across the Institution, we are now shaping the next chapter of our transformative engagement in and with India.”
The week will feature a wide portfolio of our high impact research, education and enterprise activities, as well as promoting UK-India business opportunities, and cross-cultural understandings.
