University of Tübingen: The 28th Tübingen Heritage Run takes place hybrid

Preparatory training starts on July 27th
The Tübingen Heritage Run is “on the road again”: The 28th Tübingen Heritage Run will take place on September 18 and 19 this year. After a virtual run last year, this year there is a hybrid form and new routes. The main sponsor, Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH, also organizes the Virtual Charity Run. Under the direction of Marc Oßwald and Dieter Baumann, the event was organized with the support of students from the Institute for Sports Science at the University of Tübingen and is organized in cooperation with the Athletics Association (LAV) Stadtwerke Tübingen. Registrations are now possible on the Tübinger Erbe-Lauf website: https://www.tuebinger-erbe-lauf.de/

Requirements for participation in the face-to-face runs are the 3G: recovered, vaccinated or tested.

Main run
The main run of the Tübinger Erbe run, the 10 kilometer run, will take place on Sunday, September 19, from 11 a.m. According to the current Corona regulations, a group of 25 runners starts every five minutes. This year the run takes place in the industrial area “Unter dem Holz”: Ernst-Simon-Straße / company premises of the company Erbe Elektromedizin at Steinlachwasen.

Everyone can-run
The 5-kilometer Everyone Can Run also takes place in the “Unter dem Holz” industrial area. At the same time, students in the U16 age group can compete there. From 9:30 a.m., 25 runners start every five minutes.

Virtual Charity Run and social partners
After last year’s virtual run had proven to be successful, there is another edition this year. In the Virtual Charity Run, anyone around the world can run for a good cause from September 11th to 19th. As in the previous year, it is important to run as many kilometers as possible. Participants can collect kilometers every day in the given period. No matter how, no matter where, no matter when. One running or walking unit is counted per day. Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH donates 50 cents per kilometer. The total amount this year goes to the German Institute for Medical Mission (Difäm), which is currently building a hospice in Tübingen, which is due to be completed in October. The Difäm-Hospiz is thus also the social partner of the 28th Tübingen Heritage Run. Further information on registration can be found atexceptional.erbe-med.com

VR Bank student run
The school run will take place on Saturday, September 18, under the motto “Together we win”. The aim is to awaken the desire and joy in movement in children. This year a new route will be run around the Neckarinsel and Platanenallee. From 10 a.m., students start every ten minutes in groups of 25 to pass the 1000 meter distance. The entrance for participants is on the Alleenbrücke, the start is at the level of the Silcher Monument, the finish is in the Neckarbrücke area. We ask for your understanding that no spectators are allowed on the Neckar Island.
