Mumbai: Following in the path of successful virtual ceremonies, upGrad, Asia’s higher EdTech leader in partnership with MICA, Ahmedabad recently hosted its third valedictorian ceremony to felicitate 1462 learners for completing their degree in Advanced Certification in Digital Marketing and Communication. Gracing the event with their presence were Chief Guest Nikhil Mohan, Sr. VP at Ogilvy & Mather, and Dr. Anita Basalingappa, Professor of Marketing and Chairperson of Online Programmes at MICA, along with upGrad Chairperson & Co-founder, Ronnie Screwvala.
The online valedictory ceremony was a joint celebration by MICA and upGrad of the successful competition of the Advanced Certification in Digital Marketing and Communication by the 1462 learners. The valedictory ceremony was full of energy and excitement with the chat box abuzz with comments and testimonials from the graduating learners. To keep the celebratory mood up amid the pandemic, upGrad deployed augmented reality (AR) filters to offer a realistic valedictory ceremony experience. The learners included seasoned working professionals across industries including Fortune 500 Companies, with work experience ranging from 3 years to 25 years.

This is the third successful virtual valedictorian ceremony with MICA, Ahmedabad this year. The last event was held in May, 2021 and celebrated the successful completion of PG Certification in Digital Marketing and Communications of around 1,118 learners.
