Ural federal university: 151 UrFU Students From Kazakhstan Returned to Yekaterinburg to Continue Their Education Offline

A charter flight piloted by the Hero of Russia landed on April 2nd, today all of the students continue their education offline

151 Kazakh students of UrFU arrived in Yekaterinburg on April 2nd by a charter flight of Ural Airlines from Kostanay, Kazakhstan. As of today all students continue their education offline.

A half of the students chose to self-isolate at UrFU student hostel 1. University services provided them with swift COVID PCR-tests – all negative in result – and also health insurances required for staying in Yekaterinburg. After self-isolating during the weekend, on Monday all students could travel around the city to do all required documentation for further student hostels and other needs.

The flight was piloted by the Hero of Russia pilot Damir Yusupov. He is the ‘Russian Sully’, the pilot who safely crash-landed an aircraft into the corn field after the emergency situation broke out after lift-off in 2019, saving all lives aboard.
