Ural Federal University: A University Student Won Three Medals at the World Cup in Underwater Sports

From November 5 to 8 in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh was the final of the Underwater World Cup. Stepan Vorobyov, a student of the Ural Federal University Institute of Physics and Technology, won three awards at once.

Thus, Stepan won first places in diving at 50 meters and diving at 100 meters and took silver in swimming at 100 meters. Scuba diver under the guidance of the merited coach of Russia Vladislav Petrov and it is not the first time when he brings our country winning places in competitions of different levels.

Also after the competition by the order of the Minister of Sports of Russia Stepan was awarded the title “Master of Sports of International class”. Several months earlier the athlete took the title of the world champion in scuba diving in the discipline of apnoea.
