Ural Federal University Advances Cooperation with Argentina
The trip to Argentina included a visit to the University, a meeting at the Law Faculty, and a visit to CONICET. CONICET is the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas), an Argentine government agency that directs and coordinates most of the scientific and technical research conducted in universities and institutes. This association supports the initiatives of professors and students, as well as scholarships for students from different universities.
The possibility of cooperation and the launch of an exchange program with professors from different fields, both humanities and technical, were mentioned. Other issues of interest to the representatives of both sides were discussed, as well as the model agreement between the National University of Tucumán and the Ural Federal University.
In addition, as part of the delegation’s visit, there was a meeting at the representation of the Supreme Court, as well as with university professors and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, where there was an opportunity to meet with faculty members and discuss ideas and opportunities for cooperation, joint projects.
There was also a full interview in Spanish with representatives of the Ural Federal University on the university radio, where they discussed the culture of Argentina and Russia, the idea of cultural ties and the closeness of these two countries.
