Ural Federal University-Africa Strengthen Cooperation

On July 27, the rector of Ural Federal University signed cooperation agreements with three universities of the African continent – University of Oum El Bouaghi (Algeria), ESCA – School of Management (Morocco), University of Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo) during the Second Summit Russia-Africa in Saint-Petersburg. The signing ceremonies took place remotely as the heads of the partner universities from Africa could not personally attend the event.

The rector of UrFU Victor Koksharov and the rector of University of Kinshasa Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba signed the Cooperation Agreement entailing academic exchange, joint research, training of faculty and administrative staff, material production and translation, curricula development etc. between the two universities. The signing ceremony took place in the personal presence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the Russian Federation Ivan Vangu Ngimbi.

The Memorandum of Understanding between University of Oum El Bouaghi in Algeria and Ural Federal University was signed by Zohir Dibi, the rector of Oum El Bouaghi University. The Agreement requires academic exchange, joint research and publications, organization of scientific conferences.

Agreement on a Double Degree Program (Master’s degree) between School of Management ESCA and Ural Federal University was signed by Professor Abdennasser Daif, the vice-rector of ESCA.
