Ural Federal University: An Employee of the University Reached the Finals of the Leaders of Russia Competition

The results of the Leaders of Russia competition in the “Culture” direction were summed up in St. Petersburg. For the right to get into the superfinal 600 applicants fought. Among the finalists was the director of the center of collective work of the Ural Federal University “Boiling Point” Sergey Sergeev.

Leaders of Russia competition, the flagship project of the presidential platform “Russia – the country of opportunities”, – is the all-Russian competition of managers. They compete in different areas, the best can expect not only an educational grant of 1 million rubles, but also the opportunity to occupy senior positions in government agencies.

The competition consisted of several stages: entrance testing, essays, as well as work in teams with interesting cases. Under the guidance of mentors, participants solved theoretical management problems, and the jury evaluated the contribution of each of them to the overall result. For example, the future managers had to select a person to be the new minister of culture or modernize the village museum.

“First, when I applied, there was testing on basic subjects: history, literature, working with text, as well as tasks on managerial competence. Then I wrote an essay about my successes in professional activities and made it to the finals,” Sergey Sergeev told portal 66.ru.

At all stages of the competition competencies of participants were evaluated by professional experts from the world of culture and management.
