Ural Federal University Announces The Student Of The Year 2022
On December 20, the finals of the Student of the Year 2022 contest was held at the Ural Cultural Center. Ural Federal University has held this contest annually since 2016. Students compete for the main title and win in 11 categories. This time Nikita Isupov, a second-year student of the Institute of Physics and Technology, won the Grand Prix and a laptop with headphones.
In addition, Nikita won in the Innovator of the Year category. As part of his project, he developed an online application for people suffering from panic attacks. The app is designed to ease the course of attacks.
“2018 was a special year for me, that’s when a spark was lit – the spark of my light source. That year I came to Ekaterinburg for the first time and saw UrFU, and three years later I became a student! My whole journey is to try myself in everything. With a fire inside, I participated in many projects, but at some point, I began to fade. The special people in my department, the innovation infrastructure and the union of young innovators helped me to flare up again. Standing on the stage, I felt my inner source of light, which now will not go out,” said Nikita in his speech at the ceremony.
The winners in the nominations will go on internships at ITMO University and HSE University in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
