Ural Federal University Becomes A Part Of Green Alliance of the Association of Technical Universities of Russia and China
The Ural Federal University has joined the Academic Alliance for Green Development of the Association of Technical Universities of Russia and China (ATURC). The signing took place at the annual conference of ATURC on low-carbon energy and sustainable development in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. UrFU was represented at the conference by Vladimir Kruzhaev, Deputy Vice Rector for Science.
The Alliance includes 20 ATURC members, represented by 10 members from each country. Its main objective is to develop educational exchanges and cooperation in the field of low-carbon and sustainable development between Russia and China.
“Joining the alliance is important for UrFU because it will allow us to organize scientific interaction, educational exchanges and joint training of graduate students with the strongest universities in China. First of all, it is about hydrogen energy, carbon polygons and alternative energy, where renewable energy resources are used through the use of hydropower, wind energy, solar energy, geothermal energy, biomass and tidal energy,” says Kruzhaev.
Vladimir Kruzhaev adds that in the future it is planned to conclude several agreements on joint personnel training and joint scientific research with Chinese universities – China University of Petroleum-Beijing, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Jilin University, and others.
