Registration has begun on the website of the “Engineering Reconstruction 4.0: Triggers of Industrial Transformation” project. School students of 10-11th grades, as well as students of technical schools, colleges and universities can participate. They will be able to get acquainted with the engineering profession, communicate with representatives of partner companies, and try designing solutions to real industrial problems.

“Ural Federal University creates many projects that aim to prepare students for real work processes as much as possible. The less there is a gap between academic and industrial reality, the more students will choose a profession to their liking,” the organizers noted.

From January, 30th till February, 19th it is necessary to choose a demo-case from the partner-company on a site of the project and to present the design-technological offer on the decision of the task. The tasks are presented in the form of assigned cases with a brief immersion in the study of the issue related to the specifics of the industry. Participation is team-based, but the team can also consist of one participant.

According to the results of the qualifying stage, the past teams will gather for an in-person hackathon, during which they will also have to solve cases from partner companies. The winning team, which takes the Grand Prix, will receive a cash prize of 100 thousand rubles.
